 Grant Call from Republic of Bulgaria to support Moldovan NGOs

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria through the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in the Republic of Moldova announces a procedure for the acceptance and selection of proposals for projects to be implemented with a grant through the Official Development Assistance of the Republic of Bulgaria, with an initial implementation period in 2023.

Objectives
Improving the conditions for studying Bulgarian language, literature, history, traditions and culture.
Improving the quality of activities carried out in state and private cultural and educational institutions.
Uptake of new teaching methods and standards.
Improving inter-ethnic communication and understanding by promoting the ethno-cultural characteristics of the nations inhabiting the Republic of Moldova under the title “diversity unites and enriches us”.
Priorities
Priority Areas for Project Implementation on the territory of the Republic of Moldova:

Support for quality, inclusive and modern education, including through the improvement of educational infrastructure and the improvement of conditions and access to education.
Support for providing universal health coverage and access to quality health services.
Protecting cultural diversity and promoting intercultural understanding.
Funding Information
Minimum amount of the project is 5,000 BGN.
Recommended maximum amount of the project is:
for projects with main purpose to deliver goods and /orservices – up to 70,000 BGN;
for projects with main purpose to carry out repairs and /or construction activities – up to 140 000BGN.
Duration of the Projects
Project proposals must contain an indicative start date for implementation after 1 March 2023 and no later than 30 November 2023.
Projects must be completed no later than 31 December 2025.
Outputs/Results
Support for the socio-economic development of regions inhabited by ethnic Bulgarians
Reducing poverty, improving living conditions and the right to education of the Bulgarian minority in the Republic of Moldova.
Promoting Bulgaria’s reputation and international prestige.
Target Groups
The Priority target group is the citizens of the Republic of Moldova of Bulgarian origin in areas with a compact ethnic population in the country.

Primary and secondary budget spenders – legal entities of Republic of Moldova;
International and local nongovernmental organizations;
Municipalities and their associations;
Educational, health and social institutions;
International humanitarian organizations;
