Duration Appointment:   Indefinite subject to successful completion of probationary period

The work schedule for this position is: Full Time (40 hours per week)

DUTIES: This position is located in the Regional Security Office (RSO) at American Embassy Niamey, Niger.  The incumbent provides logistical support to the approximately $6 million Anti-Terrorism Assistance (ATA) program in Niger and maintain and improve liaison with the Government of Niger (GON) training partners. Coordinate all aspects of course preparation and assist ATA instructors and personnel in the delivery of all ATA training courses and programs. Coordinate the inventory, documentation, and delivery of all enabling equipment grants. Reports through the Senior Foreign Service National Investigator (SFSNI) to the Regional Security Officer (RSO) and receives daily direction from the ATA Senior Counter Terrorism Advisor (SCTA).

EDUCATION: A Bachelor’s degree in business/business administration, finance, accounting. management or public administration is required.

EXPERIENCE: Two years of experience in administration, logistics, personnel management, and project implementation and/or coordination with law enforcement, military, judicial or international organizations is required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE: Optional: A good knowledge of office management functions, service, procedures, and standard information sources is required. A good working knowledge of civilian security organizations in Niger is required.  An in-depth understanding of how an American embassy is organized and functions; how the Anti-Terrorism Assistance office is structured and operates; and the mission of the Diplomatic Security Service and how it functions is required.

LANGUAGE: Level III (Good working knowledge) speaking/reading/writing English is required, Level IV (Fluent) speaking/reading/writing French is required, Level IV (Fluent) speaking in Hausa or Djerma is required. English may be tested.
